نبذة عن كتاب Steel Structures Design
This book provides the readers with an intoduction to the analysis and design of steel structures which have been so widely used in building construction and other areas for years.
In the presentation of the various analytical methods applicable to steel structures design, it has been assumed that the reader is familiar with the basic structural analysis procedures.
The material of this book is mainly based on the design equations presented by the Egyptian Code of Practice for Steel Construction and Bridges- Allowable Stress Design (2001). The book contains fourteen chapters, namely: (Introduction, Tension Members, Compression Members, Bolted Connection, Welded Connection, Beams, Beam-Columns, Bases, Bracing Members, End and Side Girts& End Gable Columns, Members Made of Cold-Formed Sections, Portal Frames, Trusses, Miscellaneous Design Applications, Introduction to Load and Resistance Factor Design).
Each of these chapters provides the reader with a step towards the understanding of the principals of the design of the relevant elements. Examples are given where possible to clear out some of these principals.
