نبذة عن كتاب Ant Circle
Ant Circle contains storirs, short or long, it does not really matter. Some are touching, others tragic or realistic with a tinge of romance. But in all cases they mirror the pathetic situations being suffered in different parts of the world as a result of wars, greed or rooted enmities. It is the trangedy of Judy, the American Israeli mother who willingly accept an Arab heart for her dying son despite the apathy of her fannatic Jewish husband. It is the tug-of-war between Iraqi Wahdiya and Iranian Maliha, two mothers who wage an unrelenting fight over the remains believed to be thah of one of the women’s sons. In a different context, it is the dilemma of disenchanted Amin and Fadla, a young couple, who become aware of the dark side of their pious parents only when the latter are reported dead on a ship that sank in the Red Sea as it friend scores of Namula and Buda, two ants that echo the wittiness and violence marking human clashes? Ant Circle is the translation of the Arabic fiction Namula Haeera- An Ant in Trouble- by Egyption journalist Ahmed Kafafi.
