This book addresses children from the age of 7, and It’s concerned with the issue of loss. We find it important to discuss the book’s analogies with the young reader, for example, the similarities between the mother and the bee. The book discusses the concept of sadness, how it is a natural feeling, and how we can reduce it by contemplating positive things. We also think it’s of importance to discuss with the young reader her/his role towards other living creatures since they too are capable of feeling, and the issue of animal welfare and animal rights. The book also raises the question of why man eats animals if that turns their younglings into orphans?
